Keep Society Safe: Study Criminal Justice Administration

University of Phoenix Columnist If you’re interested in criminal justice, but don’t picture yourself with a badge, there are other areas to get involved in, including administration. Crime can be a fascinating subject, from theories of why it develops to where it flourishes to why certain individuals are attracted to it. While earning your online degree in criminal justice administration, you’ll study sociology, business, psychology, and statistics you can practice in an exciting career in law enforcement. There are many ways to discipline those who have broken the law, but criminal justice administrators can help with the disciplinary or the preventive side of law enforcement. There are many opportunities to work as a court administrator, security officer, social worker, or parole officer. There are also jobs available at prisons, juvenile centers, or at police departments. If you don’t see yourself as police officer, it’s possible to earn a bachelor of science in criminal justice administration to help put the bad guys behind bars without wielding handcuffs.
