Exceptional Students Need Special Attention
Who is an Exceptional Student?
Of a classroom of twenty-five or thirty, it's likely that at least one or two students suffer from a learning disability. You can learn to recognize the signs of dyslexia, visual or auditory problems, as well as mental or emotional disorders, while earning your Master of Education with a specialization in Special Education.
How to Help through Special Education
A teacher who is adequately prepared to deal with special needs can create an education plan for each student, and then coach them through each stage. This teacher should also be aware of governmental and school policies that could affect pupils with disabilities. Special education requires a lot of patience and love, but for a student with a caring teacher, the rewards are great.
